About the Foundation
“I and the one who cares for an orphan will be in Paradise like these two” — and he pressed his index and middle finger together.Prophet Muhammad ﷺ · Sahih al-Bukhari
The name Kahatayn comes directly from this hadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which highlights the importance of looking out for the vulnerable in our communities. Through fostering good character and sharing knowledge, we hope to bring our students close to the Prophet ﷺ in Paradise like two fingers held side by side.
We were built on the belief that education should be accessible to all seeking it, and that is why we offer a cross-subsidy model. If fees are ever a concern, don’t hesitate to get in touch — no one is turned away on grounds of cost.
What we teach
How it works
Six courses. All online. Open to every adult aged 18 and over.
Structured learning in Qur'anic reading, recitation (tajweed) and comprehension. Suitable for complete beginners and those reconnecting with the Qur'an after time away. No prior knowledge required. We work through the Arabic script systematically and at a pace suited to adult learners.
Express InterestA journey through the life of our beloved Prophet ﷺ — his character, conduct, trials and triumphs. We explore how the Seerah is not merely history but a living guide to Islamic good character, showing us how to embody patience, honesty, compassion and integrity in our own lives.
Express InterestPractical English tuition combined with UK employability skills. Covers reading, writing and spoken communication, alongside CV preparation, job applications, interview technique and navigating the British workplace. Designed specifically around the real barriers adults face when seeking employment in the UK.
Modern Standard Arabic for adults — building reading, writing and spoken skills from the ground up. Particularly valuable for those wishing to engage with the Qur'an, Islamic texts and Arabic-language media in their original form. Taught by qualified tutors with experience of adult learners.
Express InterestUK National Curriculum-aligned training for parents who educate their children at home. Covers subject knowledge, lesson planning, assessment and how to keep learning structured and engaging. Designed for Muslim families navigating home education — practical, accessible, and led by qualified educators.
An intellectually rigorous survey of world history — Islamic civilisation, global empires, colonial history and the modern era. Open to all adults with no prior knowledge required. Taught chronologically and thematically, with particular attention to histories that are often underrepresented in mainstream education.

Every donation directly funds a subsidised or free place for someone who could not otherwise afford to learn.
Kahatayn Foundation operates on a cross-subsidy model. Course fees paid by those who can afford them fund free and subsidised places for those who cannot. No one is ever turned away on grounds of cost.
Your donation makes that model sustainable. It allows us to accept more fee waiver applications, run more cohorts, and reach more people who would otherwise have no access to this education.
Kahatayn Foundation is a registered charity in England and Wales. Once registered, donations may qualify for Gift Aid — adding 25p for every £1 at no cost to you.
